Are you a seasoned shooter?  Do you want to share your knowledge with others?  Our Instructor Courses prepare you to transfer knowledge to people wanting to develop their shooting skills.  We are certified to train you to be NRA Certified Instructors and Michigan Coalition for Resopnsable Gun Owners (MCRGO) CPL Instructors.                                                                     

MCRGO AR-15 Basics, Instructor Workshop

The Michigan Coalition for Responsible Gun Owners AR-15 Basics instructor course focuses on the new AR-15 owner. Instructor candidates learn to introduce the versatile AR-15 platform. Instructor candidates learn teaching techniques to give students the best experience for their individual learning style. Curriculum content includes safety, history, parts and operation, ammunition, shooting fundamentals, cleaning, maintenance, and continued opportunities for skill development. This Instructor Course will prepare instructor candidates to successfully transfer knowledge to students of all ability levels.
The MCRGO instructor program is developed by instructors and is designed to make teaching students as simple as possible. Program administrators are easily accessible to instructors with fast, personal replies to questions and suggestions.
Instructor Candidate must complete the instructor application, indicating DANIELSON as the instructor.

MCRGO CPL Instructor Workshop

The Michigan Coalition for Responsible Gun Owners Concealed Pistol Safety & Training Program is a Michigan-specific training course which focuses on carrying concealed outside the home. This Instructor Course will prepare instructor candidates to successfully transfer knowledge to students of all ability levels.
The MCRGO instructor program is developed by instructors and is designed to make teaching students as simple as possible. Program administrators are easily accessible to instructors with fast, personal replies to questions and suggestions.
Instructor Candidates should hold current instructor ratings in either NRA Personal Protection (PPITH or PPOTH), USCCA, or other qualifying training under MCL 28.425j, be an attorney admitted to the Michigan Bar, or be an MCOLES certified Law Enforcement Officer. Prospective candidates who do not meet these qualifications must first take a MCRGO CPL class from any MCRGO CPL Instructor for course familiarity.
Instructor candidates will participate in development and instruction over 2 days. All training materials will be provided. Complete Instructor Application at least 10 days prior to training.

MCRGO Everyday Concealed Carry Instructor Workshop

 

The MCRGO Everyday Concealed Carry Instructor Workshop is 16+ hours of learning and instructor development.
This course will challenge you as an instructor to think outside of the box! Our focus will be to expand on facilitation and teaching methods in the areas of holster & equipment selection, develop proper techniques to teach drawing and holstering a pistol, and follow safe range management guidelines while conducting a class on a live fire range. Our goal is to inspire each candidate to develop better, stronger teaching skills and techniques that are unique to your individual teaching style. Upon completion of this MCRGO course you will receive the  credential and can begin teaching the MCRGO Everyday Concealed Carry course to your students.
Prerequisites - Current MCRGO CPL Instructor, certified a minimum of 10 MCRGO students, Everyday Concealed Carry class certificate.

NRA CPL Instructor Workshop

This course will allow you to instruct the required NRA material for your students to apply for their CPL.  This is a three part course.  NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT), NRA Pistol Instructor Training, and NRA Personal Protection Inside the Home Instructor (PPIH) Training.  Candidates must have completed NRA Basics of pistol Shooting (ILT) and PPIH.  To qualify for this course you must pass a Pre-Course Assessment which includes an shooting test.  Please contact us for more information.

NRA Range Safety Office Course (RSO)
 
This 9 hour course develops NRA Certified Range Safety Officers with the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.  Must be 21 years of age to attend.

NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT)
 
This 6 hour course is designed to develop NRA Certified Instructors who possess the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to conduct the NRA Basic Firearm Training Courses. It is the NRA class that helps people who already have subject matter expertise learn how to hold a class the NRA way so that their students earn recognized NRA certification. This course teaches you the policies and procedures for becoming an NRA instructor as well as effective teaching methods for training students. Basic Instructor Training is a pre-requisite for all instructor level courses.

NRA CHIEF Range Safety Officer Course (CRSO)

 

This 8-hour course teaches the knowledge, skills and attitude essential to training and supervising NRA range safety officers and developing range standard operating procedures.  You must be a NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO) and complete Basic Instructor Training (BIT) to attend this course.

NRA Pistol Instructor Course

 

This 10-hour course teaches the knowledge, skills and attitude essential to organizing, promoting and teaching NRA’s Basic Pistol Shooting course. Prior to the instructor training, candidates must complete

the instructor lead basic pistol course, complete Basic Instructor Training (BIT), complete a pre-course questionnaire and demonstrate their firearm background in pre-course assessment exercises. 

NRA Rifle Instructor Course

 

This 10-hour course teaches the knowledge, skills and attitude essential to organizing, promoting and teaching NRA’s Basic Rifle Shooting course. Prior to the instructor training, candidates must complete the basic rifle course, must have completed Basic Instructor Training (BIT) within two years (3/19/21) of registering of this course. BIT will be offered prior to this course for anyone who needs to update.

NRA Shotgun Instructor Course

 

This 11-hour course teaches the knowledge, skills and attitude essential to organizing, promoting and teaching NRA’s Basic Shotgun Shooting Course. Prior to the instructor training, candidates must complete the basic shotgun course, complete Basic Instructor Training (BIT), complete a pre-course questionnaire and demonstrate their firearm background in pre-course assessment exercises.
